The TOSSI Annual General Meeting was held on the 5th September and a new committee has been elected.
The new Chairman, Steve Palmer thanked the outgoing chair Paul Williams and outgoing committee member Jan Halliday for their enormous contributions to the committee and to the Open Sanctuary.  A full list of the new committee can be found in the "Contacts" section.

The meeting was addressed by Christine Rose, Deputy Chairperson, ARC Parks & Heritage Committee who spoke about the successes and benefits of the partnerships between the Council and public groups, particularly TOSSI.

The programme was completed with a fascinating talk by Shauna Baillie, a PhD candidate with Massey University and Victoria University‚Äüs Allan Wilson Centre for Molecular Ecology and Evolution. Shauna told us about her work, with bellbirds in particular.
