The TOSSI Annual General Meeting was held on 3 September at the Woolshed.The TOSSI Annual General Meeting was held on 3 September at the Woolshed. Alison Stanes and Matt Maitland gave reports for the year outlining the achievements and work done. Karyn Hoksbergen presented the Financial Report, outlining the highlights for the year.
James Ross took over for the election of the committee. Ray Blackburn, David Stone and James Ross retired from the Committee. Kim Grove was elected to the role of Treasurer with Karyn becoming Secretary. Tony Enderby and Marguerite Vanderkolk were elected on to the Committee. Alison Stanes continues as Chairperson with Roger Grove as Deputy Chairperson. Gilbert Barruel and Sally Richardson also continue on the committee.
Alison thanked the retiring committee members and on behalf of TOSSI presented them with a framed photo of three of our Takahe as a thank you for their efforts over recent years. Alison also presented Ngaire Wallen and Matt Maitland with a framed photo. Ngaire to thank her for her involvement up to her retirement from the committee last year and Matt to celebrate his ten year anniversary as Senior Ranger Open Sanctuaries.
A motion to continue the subscriptions at current rates was passed by a majority vote. The recent passing of Barry Lett and the significant contribution he made to TOSSI was acknowledged. A motion to allow the application for grant funding up to $25,000 for the development and construction of an education trailer was passed.
