The 2025 Public Planting days will be on:
- Sunday 1 June 2025,
- Sunday 6 July 2025, and
- 3 August 2025.
Even if you have been before, please read the info below to ensure you follow the parks protocols.
Timings:
- Start time – 9am
- Finish 12.30pm
- Followed by lunch
Where:
- 1181 Takatu Road, Tāwharanui Open Sanctuary, 1181 Takatu Road, Tāwharanui Peninsula
- Follow the signs and directions for parking at the planting site
What to wear:
- Sturdy and VERY CLEAN footwear for rough terrain
- Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
What to bring:
- Waterproof jacket
- Water bottle
We supply:
- Gloves and spades
- However if you prefer to use your own equipment please ensure they are VERY CLEAN before you arrive.
When you have parked up please make you way to the sign in area and ensure you read safety briefing before you sign in.
Tāwharanui is a Kauri Dieback free zone, please follow all protocols to keep it this way.
