Experience Aotearoa’s iconic kiwi in the wild.

Join a 2-hour guided night walk through the predator-free Tāwharanui Open Sanctuary. This small-group experience supports local conservation and offers a unique opportunity to hear and, with a bit of luck, see kiwi roaming freely in their natural habitat.

Departure Times 2026

  • September–March: 8:30pm
  • April–June: 7:30pm

Please book then then meet at the Woolshed and check in 30 minutes prior to departure.

All departures are subject to weather conditions.

Cost

  • Child (7–15 years): $20
